The main character of DreamWorks’s “The Boss Baby”, a film which has been submitted for the 90th Academy Awards for consideration as best animated feature, is a great example of FORCE design.
The Boss Baby’s main character’s sense of appeal and fluidity is no mere coincidence. Upon closer analysis, it can be seen that the concept of FORCE was skillfully applied to the design of this character. Notice the clear Directional FORCEs in the body of the character in the image below, giving it a great sense of rhythm and connectivity.
Also notice the clear use of FORCE Shapes, which are also referred to as “appealing shapes” in the animation industry.
