John Watkiss was a master fine artist, illustrator, concept artist and storyboard artist. During his artistic career he contributed to the 2009 Sherlock Holmes film (starring Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law), The Walking dead TV series, Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow (starring Angelina Jolie) and also various animated features (Tarzan, Treasure Planet, Don Quixote) and graphic novels (Ring of Roses, Sandman, Legends of the Dark Knight).
