If you are in the SF bay Area between now and September, check out the free Glen Keane exhibit.  Great to see notes form his sketchbooks, original production pencil drawings and hear his discuss his thought process on creating characters.

Above are notes about character from his sketchbook. I really enjoyed reading "See and Feel Before You Draw." Can't agree more on that note.

Some other gems are:

• Keep actions simple and clear
• Never make an action or gesture without a reason
• is the drawing saying what I want it to say?
• In a dramatic work, the thought comes first
